Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026 · CipherGuardia (Attack Surface Management)

1. The service

CipherGuardia maps the internet-facing assets of a domain you submit and tests them for security weaknesses. Scanning depth depends on the type you choose: a passive scan sends no traffic to your target, while an active scan probes your assets directly.

2. Authorisation is your responsibility

This is the most important term here. You may only submit domains you own or are explicitly authorised in writing to assess. Scanning infrastructure without permission is unlawful in most jurisdictions. Every submission is recorded against your identity, IP address and timestamp.

You confirm this authorisation on each scan. If you cannot, do not submit the domain. We may suspend an account and cooperate with a lawful investigation where we believe scans were run without permission.

3. What we do not do

We do not exploit what we find. Our scanners identify and confirm weaknesses; they do not attempt to gain access, extract data, escalate privileges, or disrupt a service. We do not perform denial-of-service testing, and we do not test authenticated areas of your applications.

4. No guarantee of completeness

External scanning shows what is reachable from the outside at a point in time. A clean result is not a certificate of security, and findings are informational: you remain responsible for assessing and remediating your own systems. We provide the service as-is, without warranty that it will find every issue affecting you.

5. Plans and payment

Free accounts see a limited set of categories and may monitor a limited number of domains. Paid plans are shown with their price, domain allowance and access period at the point of purchase. Pro is a one-time payment and does not expire. Continuous grants access for a fixed window and does not auto-renew — you renew it deliberately. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

Because a scan consumes compute the moment it starts, purchases are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong, contact support@cipherguardia.com and we will deal with it fairly.

6. Fair use

Scans are time-boxed and rate-limited, and client scans are reviewed before they consume resources. We may decline or stop a scan that threatens the platform's stability or its cost limits.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
